- Research studies show that storing drinking-water in copper pots kill contaminating bacteria as copper is known to be far more poisonous to bacteria than stainless steel and aluminum utensils.
- Drinking a glass of room temperature copper water in the morning washes the gastrointestinal tract.
- Copper water helps alleviate excessive obesity by scraping off the excess fat.
How to make copper water:
When water comes in contact with copper metal for a specific time period, the resultant water gets charged with the healing properties of the copper. To make copper water, pour water in the copper jug and leave it overnight. Drink a cup of room temperature copper water as soon as you get up in the morning. You can also use your copper cups to drink water from it at all times. It’s recommended to drink the water at room temperature.
Remember copper water should not be stored in fridge. Do not use stale water that is the water from the previous day.
How to keep your copper utensils clean:
Copper darkens naturally over a period of time. The copper cup oxidizes with water and requires cleaning from time to time. Use lemon juice or tamarind to rub the utensils. Leave it for few minutes and wash with water.
