Ingredients (Buy locally grown organic ingredients, if possible)
2 medium ripe avocados (slightly soft to the touch)
1/4 red onion, chopped
1/2 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
1-2 dried red chilies (optional)
1 Tablespoon lime juice, more as needed
Rock salt (saindhav salt) and pepper to taste
1. Slice avocados in half, scoop out the inside into a mixing bowl. Keep the seed aside and roughly mash the avocados using a fork.
2. Fold in the finely chopped onion, cilantro, and chilies. Add fresh lime juice, salt and pepper to taste. Stir gently to mix all the ingredients.
Use the freshest ingredients possible. To make it very creamy, use a food processor to mix the ingredients. Don’t discard the seeds. The seeds help the dip looking fresh and prevents browning.
