6 Tablespoons ghee (make organic ghee at home)

1/2 cup whole-wheat flour

1/2 cup rock sugar or raw sugar, powdered

1 1/2 cups water, room temperature

2-4 threads of saffron (kumkum or kesar), optional

1. Heat ghee in a heavy bottom broad pan at low-medium flame and add whole-wheat flour to it. Roast it evenly at low-medium heat while stirring constantly to prevent burning.

2. Meanwhile heat water in a sauce-pan to prepare sugar syrup, add powdered sugar and bring it to a boil. Add saffron to it and and continue cooking for another 2-4 minutes.

3. Once the color of wheat flour changes to deep brown, slowly add the sugar syrup while continuously stirring the flour mixture to avoid any lumps. Cook for another 1 minute and then take off stove. Transfer it to individual serving bowls and enjoy it hot.

Ayurvedic Tip

Avoid consuming frozen desserts and ice-creams as it hampers the digestive process and leads to various digestive issues. Eat warm and freshly prepared meals for healthy digestion.
