About Preeti Gupta, MS, CAP
Hi, I am a classically trained Ayurvedic Practitioner and a professional member of the National Ayurvedic Medical Association. My specific areas of focus include disease prevention, natural detoxification, rejuvenation and nutritional therapy, including personalized food planning, herbs, and daily self-care guidance.
I studied integrated Ayurveda, Yoga and Western Medicine (500+ hours) with Dr. Vasant Lad, Dr. R.H. Singh, Dr. Sarita Shrestha, Dr. Jay Apte, Dr. Hari Pallatheri, and Cynthia Ambika Copple at Mount Madonna Institute College of Ayurveda in Watsonville, CA. I also hold a Master’s degree in Biostatistics from the University of Colorado in Denver and the Health Sciences Center.
My advanced classical Ayurveda training (4000+ hours, 5+ years) is part of the tradition of Vaidya M. V. Kolhatkar Pratishthan and various practicing vaidyas including Vaidya Yashashree Mannur, Vaidya Vedhas Kolhatkar, Vaidya Rasik Pawaskar, Vaidya Dhananjay Kulkarni, Vaidya Dilip Gadgil, Vaidya Sameer Kulkarni and Vaidya Vedant Vaidya at Shubham Ayurveda Clinic & Classroom in Fremont, CA. The Classical Ayurveda Training program is equivalent to the Ayurvedic Doctor level developed by National Ayurvedic Medical Association (NAMA).
I am trained licensed massage therapist from Mckinnon Body Therapy Center and went to Arya Ayurveda clinic in Pune for hands-on internship training (200+ hours) in panchkarma (vaman, virechan, basti, nasya, and rakta mokshan) and learned various traditional Ayurveda procedures such as abhyanga (massage), shirodhara, karna poorna, vrana karma, agni karma, nadi sweda etc. I also learned how to prepare classical herbal formulations such as mahatiktak ghee, shatawari kalpa, phala varti, chawanprash and various Ayurvedic food recipes like yusha, yavagu etc. under the guidance of esteemed vaidyas at Arya Ayurveda clinic.
The aim of Ayurveda is to optimize our body’s capacity to heal itself by maintaining a harmonious balance between our mind and body. Having achieved personal success, my passion for natural healing motivated me to study and practice alternative medical sciences, such as Ayurveda. As an Ayurvedic practitioner, it encourages me to see my clients benefit from such a deep, time-tested tradition.
